Mungu Feni Foundation Signs MoU with Madi and West Nile Diocese to Support Vulnerable Communities

Mungu Feni Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Madi and West Nile Diocese aimed at uplifting and supporting vulnerable communities across the West Nile region.

The partnership was formalised during celebrations marking the ninth anniversary of the Bishop at Emmanuel Cathedral, Mvara, in Arua City.

The event also featured a fundraising drive for the construction of a four-storey Bishop’s Complex, where businessman and philanthropist Benard Feni, popularly known as Mungu Feni, served as the chief guest.

Mungu Feni, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Mungu Feni Foundation and Director of EuroGold Refinery and Mungu Feni Aviation Ltd, contributed Shs20 million towards the project and pledged continued support until its completion.

During the event, the Bishop of Madi and West Nile Diocese, Rt Rev Dr Charles Collins Andaku, presented Benard Feni with an award of appreciation in recognition of his generosity, partnership and collaboration with the Anglican Diocese.

Mungu Feni has also received widespread recognition for his contribution to entrepreneurship, innovation and community development in Uganda.

Through the Mungu Feni Foundation, he was honoured with the Best Innovative and Extraordinary Entrepreneur 2026 Award by the Uganda National Innovative Graduates Wealth Creation Association (UNIGWA) for his transformative work in business and social empowerment.

The foundation was also named Best Community Transformation Organisation in East Africa at the East Africa Brand Quality Awards, highlighting its growing impact beyond Uganda’s borders.

In 2025, the foundation scooped several accolades at the West Nile Quality Brand Awards, including the Quality Excellence Award – Platinum, Best Community Development NGO and Best Local NGO, in recognition of its efforts to empower youth and vulnerable communities across the region.

Beyond philanthropy, Mungu Feni has also earned recognition in the creative industry, winning the Best New Star Gospel Artist Award at the Shining Stars Africa Awards 2025/2026 held in Rwanda.
